Quality fire protection is crucial for a company such as Thomson Sawmills, which produces and manufactures a wide range of fencing and landscaping timbers for the general public, contractors and bulk customers.

Located just outside Norwich, Thomson Sawmills has employed Fire Security (Sprinkler Installations) Ltd for projects over the past 12 years after impressing Managing Director Brian Thomson.

Fire Security (Sprinkler Installations) Ltd was engaged to supply a sprinkler protection system to the company’s new mill building at high roof level.

Phase 1 of the project involved work on the underground mains on site and the installation of a dry control valve set.

Managing Director of Thomson Sawmills Brian Thomson said: “I came across Fire Security 12 years ago when we engaged them to do some remedial work for our previously installed sprinkler system.

“I regretted not using Fire Security System sooner and we have now worked with them for many years and employed them time and again to do projects for us. They also carry out servicing and maintenance of our sprinkler systems.”

Phase 2 of the project will see a low-level sprinkler protection system installed under the machinery within the new mill building.
